Our Favorite…Benches

Gunkelmans designers Karen McKay and Kayla Vig got together and discussed their favorite pieces of furniture. Benches came to mind as they are so versatile and can make a big impact in such a small space.  Here are some of their favorites they like to use.

Leather, walnut, brass and clean lines make this bench gorgeous!

I really enjoy the sophisticated base with a very simple, clean cushion

This bench has clean lines on a traditional silhouette. A great combination.

I love that this can go almost anywhere with its simplicity and clean lines.

The detail of the loose top cushion contrasting with the simple base is what attracts me to this bench. It has such a great retro vibe, too.

A classic waterfall bench with an updated look.  Timeless.

This bench has such a beautiful presence.  I like the natural feel of the sculptural metal base with the perfect top.

The detail in the leg with the wooden top makes this almost organic.

Outdoor Planters

The garden centers are overflowing with plants, pots and people this time of year. We feel that making a statement outside your home is important and some of the “rules” that apply to the interiors work well outside too.  Such as, let your beautiful flowers make the statement and not overly decorative pots.  Keeping the outdoor planters simple will prevent a clash between the flowers and the pot.   Here are some of our favorites.

Happy gardening!
